Deathloop is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. Arkane Studios is the award-winning studio behind the critically acclaimed Dishonored franchise. Developers plan to release the game on the 14th of September 2021 for Microsoft Windows, PS4 and, PS5.
GAMEPLAY
Deathloop has the player in the role of Colt, an assassin who is stuck in a time loop. He will wake up on a beach at the island of Blackreef. The only chance for escape is to break the loop by unearthing information and assassinating eight key targets before the day resets. However, lurking in the shadows is rival assassin Julianna, equipped with her own equally powerful abilities and weapons, on a mission to protect the loop by assassinating Colt, and restarting the cycle. Players can also choose to take control of Julianna, turning Deathloop into a deadly game of hunter-vs-hunted.
KEY FEATURES
As Colt, the only chance for escape is to end the cycle by assassinating eight key targets before the day resets. You can learn from each cycle. You can try new paths, gather intel, and also find new weapons and abilities. You have to do whatever it takes to break the loop.
Every new loop is an opportunity to change things up. You can use the knowledge you gain from each attempt to change up your playstyle. In each loop, you will discover new secrets, gather intel on your targets as well as the island of Blackreef, and expand your arsenal.
